About The Event
Inspired by the Black Lives Matter protests, we will be considering how we ensure a diverse, thriving and honouring Church that represents the values of Jesus when it comes to inclusion.
- Dr Phil Thomas, Müllers - Phil is the training coordinator for Müllers, overseeing the delivery of their free Practical Theology Course. He will be sharing his thoughts on a biblical foundation of inclusion and his insights from his PHD into a thology of disability.
- Andrew & Mwaka Smallridge - Youth leaders at Carmel City Chruch Bristol, Andrew & Mwaka oversee a lively and a racially diverse youth group. They will be sharing their thoughts, experiences and advice on working with young people of various ethnic backgrounds.
- Jo Dolby, Oasis Church Bath - Jo leads Oasis Church Bath, an outward focussed Church with a high emphasis on welcome. Formerly a lecturer for CYM, an outreach worker for Youth for Christ and tutor at Bath City College, Jo has many years experience engaging with young people and will be sharing her insights into engaging with LGBTQ+ youth.
